Original postcard is postmarked 1910 from Seattle, Washington.
The building in the picture was built in 1898, originally as an annex of the Lewis and Clark school. It was later renamed Whitman Elementary. The new Whitman Elementary building built in 1948 is still in use. The history of school in Lewiston Idaho here.

In the Victorian language of flowers violets stand for faithfulness and daisy’s for innocence. I also really like the typography in this card. The original card is postmarked September 10, 1910 from Bloomington, Indiana.

The Cliff House in San Fransisco, California. It was first built in 1863 and survived the Great San Fransisco Earthquake of 1906 just to burn down a year later. It was rebuilt in 1909, thus the “New Cliff House” caption above. In 2004 the older parts of the building were restored to look like this era. It will definitely be on my “must see” list if I’m ever in San Fransisco. Their website is here.
